誰かや何かを公式に褒めたり、認めたり、賞賛の気持ちで勧めること。

'praise'보다 공식적이며, 표창장, 추천서 등 공식문서에서 자주 사용됩니다. 일상 대화에는 잘 쓰이지 않습니다. 'commend someone for/on'으로 씁니다.
