Definition

特に座っている、または横になっている状態から立ち上がること。困難な状況から立ち直る場合にも使うことがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

物理的な動作の意味が一般的だが、比喩的（困難から立ち直る）にも使う。日常では“立ち上がる”がよく使われる。
