Definition

সোজা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে হাত পাশে রেখে, পায়ের পাতা মেলানো অবস্থায় দাঁড়ানো, সাধারণত সামরিক আদেশে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এছাড়াও কারো নজরে আসা বা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে ওঠাকেও বোঝাতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সামরিক বাহিনী ও পুলিশের ক্ষেত্রে 'come to attention' আদেশ হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। কথ্য ভাষায়, ঘটনার প্রতি সবার দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণের জন্যও বলা হয়। 'pay attention' (মনোযোগী হওয়া) এর সাথে বিভ্রান্ত করবেন না।
