戦闘員は、戦争や紛争で積極的に戦いに関わっている人を指します。兵士以外の参加者も含みます。

主に軍事や法的な文脈で使われます。兵士以外にゲリラや反乱者なども含む場合があります。「民間人」や「非戦闘員」と明確に区別されます。
