কিছু নির্দিষ্ট তথ্য বা জিনিস খুঁজে পেতে কিছু একটিকে খুব সাবধানে এবং বিস্তারিতভাবে খোঁজা বা পরীক্ষা করা।

প্রায়ই নথিপত্র, ডেটা বা কোনো নির্দিষ্ট জায়গা সম্পর্কে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'comb through' মানে দ্রুত দেখা না, বরং ধাপে ধাপে ভালোভাবে দেখা।
