液体、特に血液がドロドロになって固まりになるもの。医療では主に血栓のことを指す。

主に医療や科学分野で使われる。「blood clots」は「血栓」となる。日常会話ではあまり使われない。「clots」を「clouds」と混同しないよう注意。
