物理的な距離や時間が近い場合、または人との深い関係を表す表現です。

場所・時間・人間関係すべてに使えます。'close to my family' は家族と親しいことです。'closed to'（閉鎖されている）と混同しないようにしましょう。

My house is close to the supermarket.
