Definition
食べ物を音を立てて強く噛む、またはむしゃむしゃ食べること。転じて何かを早くやりたくてうずうずしている気持ちも表す。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「ムシャムシャ」や「ガツガツ」はややくだけた表現で、音を立てて食べるイメージです。'chomping at the bit'は「うずうずしている」と訳されることが多い。”chewing”よりも騒がしいニュアンスがあります。
