Definition
Segurar ou pegar algo em movimento, receber algo nas mãos ou descobrir algo inesperadamente. Também pode significar ficar doente ou entender algo.

'Catch' é muito versátil: 'catch a ball' (pegar), 'catch a bus' (pegar/apanhar), 'catch a cold' (ficar resfriado). Não use 'take' nestes casos. Em inglês informal, 'Did you catch that?' significa 'Você entendeu?'.
