Definition

'Cant' 指某一特定群体用的特殊用语，常用来排除外人或表示身份。它也可以指虚伪、道貌岸然或伪善的言辞，尤其在宗教或政治中。

主要用于正式或文学场合，日常口语很少见。作为'黑话'多指某职业或团体的隐语（如小偷的cant）。作为'虚伪言辞'时，用来批评别人的道德说教。不要与“can't”（不能）混淆。
