야외 캠핑장에서 따뜻함이나 요리, 모임을 위해 피우는 불. 여러 개 있을 때 사용하는 복수형 표현.

주로 야외 캠핑 상황에서 사용함. 'campfire'는 단수, 'campfires'는 복수 표현. '이야기', '노래', '둘러앉다'와 자주 씀. 'bonfire'처럼 크고 축제용인 불과 구분됨.
