"call your bluff" in Spanish
Definition
Desafiar a alguien para que demuestre que no está mintiendo o exagerando, normalmente pidiéndole que haga lo que dice que puede hacer. Esta expresión viene del póker, donde significa obligar a alguien a mostrar sus cartas.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Principalmente informal y se usa tanto en sentido literal (en juegos) como figurado (desafiar afirmaciones falsas). Es común en discusiones o debates. Se suele escuchar 'I'm going to call your bluff.' No significa simplemente 'mentir', sino 'descubrir el engaño'.
