要求某人做某事，特別是請他們回答問題或提供幫助。也可以指正式拜訪某人。

常在課堂上用（‘call on a student’ 指請學生回答問題），也用於尋求幫助時（‘call on your support’）。也可指正式拜訪。不要和 'call out'（公開批評）混淆。
