Definition
Abrir ou romper de repente por pressão, força ou por estar cheio demais. Também pode significar começar de forma súbita e intensa, ou uma quantidade curta e repentina de atividade, energia ou emoção.

Como verbo, são muito comuns 'burst into tears/laughter', 'burst out laughing' e 'burst into a room'. Como substantivo, aparece bastante em 'a burst of speed/energy/applause'. 'Burst' também é passado e particípio passado, então não se usa 'bursted'.
