Definition

「ひっつき虫」は植物のトゲのある種のことで、動物の毛や服にくっつきやすいものです。金属加工では「バリ」とは切断や穴あけの後に金属の端に残る小さなギザギザ部分のことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

植物なら「ひっつき虫」、金属なら「バリ」と使い分ける。『服がひっつき虫だらけ』『バリをやすりで削る』などの表現が多い。単なるざらざらには使わない。
