Definition

무언가나 누군가를 아래로 떨어뜨리거나, 수준이나 양을 줄이거나, 권력을 가진 사람을 몰아내는 것을 의미함.

직접적으로 떨어뜨릴 때와 비유적으로 (가격 낮추기, 정부 무너뜨리기, 기분 나쁘게 만들 때 등) 모두 사용됨. 'bring down the price', 'bring down the government' 등에서 볼 수 있음.

The police tried to bring down the dangerous man.
