"Break on" 屬於比較正式和詩意的表達，多見於文學或抒情作品。常和抽象主題一起用，如 "memories break on my mind"，"waves break on the shore"。不要和 "break in"（闖入）或 "break up"（分手）混淆。口語中很少出現。
