비격식적 표현으로 아주 심한 지루함을 강조할 때 씀. 주로 과장하거나 불만을 표현할 때 사용. 'I was bored to distraction during...' 같은 문장과 함께 자주 쓰임. 공식적인 글에는 적합하지 않음.
