Definition

下宿人は、他人の家や学校の寮で生活し、食事を共にするために料金を払う人を指します。

寄宿学校の生徒や、家賃と食費を払って他人の家に住む人に使います。アパートに住む賃貸者とは区別します。「ボーダー」（国境）とは意味が異なります。

The school has 100 boarders and 200 day students.
