دھواں، بادل یا کپڑا جب لہر کی طرح اٹھے یا پھیل جائے تو اسے کہا جاتا ہے۔

زیادہ تر ادبی انداز میں استعمال ہوتا ہے، جیسے 'smoke billows' یا 'sails billow'۔ انسانوں یا ٹھوس اشیاء کے لئے استعمال نہیں ہوتا۔

The sails billowed in the strong wind.

تیز ہوا میں بادبان **ابھر گئے**۔
