遠慮する断る (丁寧に)

Definition

一度引き受けた約束や誘いを、何らかの理由で丁寧に断ること。

主に丁寧に断る場面や、誰かの申し出や約束から外れる時に使います。若者言葉ではなく、フォーマルなニュアンスがあります。「断る」より丁寧な表現です。
