경쟁 상황 등에서 누군가보다 먼저 어떤 일을 하거나 말을 하는 것.

주로 일상 대화나 업무, 경기에 쓰이며, '선수를 치다'로 많이 표현함. 심각한 상황에서 잘 쓰이지 않음.
