Definition

ある計画や秘密、活動について関わっていたり、その内容を知っていること。他の全員が知っているわけではない場合に使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に口語やカジュアルな会話で使われる表現で、秘密や計画に参加・知っている時に使う。当事者意識がある時に限られる。「be in on the joke」のような特定の場合に使う。
