“Bays” 指的是海洋或湖泊向陸地內彎形成的寬闊水域，也可指停車位或建築物內的裝卸區。

既用於地理（海岸地形）也用於實用情境（如“parking bays”停車位，“loading bays”裝卸區）。地理上，bay 比 cove 大但比 gulf 小。不要把“bay”理解成顏色（馬毛色）或植物（bay leaf）。
