Passado de 'banhar': lavar a si mesmo ou alguém em uma banheira ou, menos comum, cobrir algo com líquido ou luz.

Mais comum no inglês britânico para banho de banheira. No inglês americano, pode significar 'nadar.' Também pode significar estar coberto de algo: 'bathed in sunlight.' Não se refere a chuveiro.
