Definition

창문이나 문, 베란다 위에 설치되어 햇빛이나 비로부터 보호하는 천이나 캔버스 같은 임시 덮개입니다. 주로 접었다 펼 수 있습니다.

'Awning'은 임시 또는 접이식 천 덮개에 주로 사용됩니다. 직역하면 'retractable awning', 'window awning' 등으로 쓸 수 있습니다. 고정식 지붕에는 사용하지 않습니다.
