Definition

緑や黒の皮で覆われた洋梨型の果物で、なめらかで食べられる果肉があり、生で食べたり、ワカモレに使われたりします。

「アボカド」は複数個の果物を指します。「熟したアボカド」「アボカドをスライスする」「アボカドトースト」などの表現でよく使われます。「ワカモレ」はアボカドで作る料理なので混同しないようにしましょう。
