Bir şeyin bir kurum veya otoritenin koruması, desteği veya gözetimi altında gerçekleşmesi anlamına gelir. Genellikle resmî ortamlarda kullanılır.

'Under the auspices of' ifadesi çok resmîdir ve günlük konuşmada nadiren kullanılır. 'Sponsorship'tan farklı olarak sadece maddi destek değil, organizasyon ve kontrolü de ifade eder.
