소리와 영상이 모두 포함된 자료나 장비를 설명할 때 사용함. 예: 영화, 비디오, 프레젠테이션 등.

주로 명사 앞에서 형용사로 사용(예: '시청각 장비', '시청각 자료'). 교육, 회사, 미디어 분야에서 자주 쓰이며, 사람을 묘사할 때는 쓰지 않음. 간혹 'AV'로 줄여 씀.
