Muito perto de ti, a seguir-te de perto. Pode referir-se a alguém que anda mesmo atrás de ti ou a algo que te persegue ou compete de perto.

Usado sobretudo de forma figurativa para competição ('a equipa rival está no teu encalço'), ou de modo literal ('o cão estava no meu encalço'). Sobretudo informal. Não confundir com 'on your heels' (logo após).
