Definition

何かを別のものや人と心の中や現実で結び付けること。主にアイデアや人、物を関連付けるときに使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

多くの場合「with」と一緒に使い、「associating with people」は「人と関わる」という意味ですが、やや堅い表現です。学術的や公式な場面でよく使われ、『socializing（交流する）』とは異なります。
