누군가를 신체적으로 또는 폭력적으로 공격하는 사람들입니다. 보통 해를 끼칠 의도로 먼저 공격을 시작하는 경우를 말합니다.

'공격자'는 공식적, 법률적인 상황(뉴스, 경찰 보고서 등)에서 많이 쓰입니다. '정체불명의 공격자', '무장한 공격자' 식으로 씁니다.
