Definition

芸術は、絵画・音楽・演劇・ダンス・文学などの創造的な分野を指します。学校教育では人文科学の科目を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は複数形『the arts』で使います。『fine arts（美術）』『performing arts（舞台芸術）』『liberal arts（教養科目）』などの表現があります。単数の『art』とは異なります。
