Definition

약속은 특히 의사, 고객 등과의 미리 정한 만남을 의미합니다. 또한 공식적인 직책에 누군가를 임명하는 것을 뜻하기도 합니다.

일반적으로 'appointment'는 병원이나 비즈니스 약속에 사용합니다: '약속 잡다', '약속 취소하다', '병원 약속'. 공식적으로는 '임명' 의미로도 쓰입니다. 친근한 모임에는 쓰지 않습니다.
