肩すかしは、盛り上がった後に思ったよりもあっけない結果や物足りない終わり方をすることです。

文学や日常会話で、盛り上がった後の物足りない終わりや失望感を表す時に使います。'climax'（最高潮）とは逆の意味です。「～と感じた」時や失望した場面で使われます。
