Alguém ou algo está anestesiado quando uma droga é usada para impedir que sinta dor, normalmente em procedimentos médicos. Pode também significar estar insensível física ou emocionalmente.

Usado principalmente no contexto médico e formal. Geralmente aparece na voz passiva ('foi anestesiado'). Pode ser literal (insensibilidade física) ou figurado (insensibilidade emocional). Não é comum em conversas cotidianas, exceto sobre cirurgias.
