Definition

アンドアイアンは暖炉の中で薪を支える金属製の台で、薪の下に空気が通りやすくなり燃えやすくなります。通常一対で装飾的なものが多いです。

現代ではあまり見かけませんが、伝統的な暖炉で使われます。「ファイアドッグ」と呼ばれることもあります。通常は一対で用いられ、暖炉用グレートとは違います。
