La munición son las balas, proyectiles u otros materiales que se disparan con un arma. También puede usarse en sentido figurado para referirse a datos o ideas que alguien usa para defender un argumento o atacar verbalmente a otra persona.

Normalmente es incontable: se dice 'some ammunition' o 'a box of ammunition', no 'an ammunition'. Se usa mucho en contextos militares, de caza y policiales. En sentido figurado, 'give someone ammunition' significa darle material a alguien para usarlo en tu contra.
