Definition
ফোড়া হলে শরীরের কোনো অংশে ইনফেকশনের কারণে ফোলা ও ব্যথাযুক্ত পুঁজ জমে যায়।

'ফোড়া' ডাক্তারি শব্দ হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়, সাধারণ ফুসকুড়ি বা আঘাত বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয় না। 'দাঁতের ফোড়া', 'ত্বকের ফোড়া' ইত্যাদি সাধারণ সংযোগ।
