Definition

ある状況や問題にあえて関わらない、参加しないこと。自分から距離を取る意味。

主にカジュアルな場面で使う。人間関係のトラブルや揉め事から距離を取る場合によく使われる。「stay out of trouble」「stay out of my business」などの表現と一緒に使う。

Please stay out of the kitchen while I'm cooking.

私が料理している間、キッチンには**入らないで**ください。

You should stay out of trouble at school.

学校では**問題に関わらないように**した方がいいよ。
