指在已存在的事情上繼續增加，尤其是問題、批評或負面關注。也可以指更多人一同批評或攻擊某人。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
多為口語，常與批評、問題、壓力有關（如“piling on the criticism”）。通常暗示同時有很多人批評，有不公平感。可字面用於堆積，但更多是比喻。勿與“pile up”混淆。
