কোনো কিছুর বাইরের প্রান্ত, সীমানা বা আশেপাশের এলাকা—এটি শারীরিক জায়গা বা কোনো দলের মূল অংশের বাইরে থাকা অংশ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
মূলত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা একাডেমিক আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। ‘on the periphery of’ বা ‘the urban periphery’ খুব প্রচলিত। সাধারণত তীক্ষ্ণ সীমারেখা বুঝায় না—বরং সীমান্ত এলাকাকে বোঝান হয়।
