오물이나 진흙에 많이 더럽혀진 상태. 가끔 분위기가 꺼림칙하거나 불쾌할 때도 쓴다.

주로 비공식적으로 심하게 더럽거나 진흙묻은 것에 쓴다. 'mucky boots'처럼 많이 지저분한 경우에 적합하며, 약간 지저분할 때는 사용하지 않는다. 불쾌한 일에도 쓴다.
