किसी चीज़ को चोरी करके जल्दी से भाग जाना, आमतौर पर पकड़े जाने से बचने के लिए।

अनौपचारिक अभिव्यक्ति, अखबारों और अपराध की खबरों में मिलती है। केवल चोरी कर भागने के लिए प्रयुक्त होती है, उधार या ईमानदारी से चीज़ ले जाने के लिए नहीं। आमतौर पर चोरी की वस्तु बाद में आती है ('make off with the money').
