Ficar saudável novamente após uma doença, ferimento ou sentimento negativo. Usado para indicar do que alguém está se recuperando.

Geralmente vem com o que está sendo superado: 'heal of a disease'. É mais formal ou literário do que 'get over' ou 'recover from' e menos usado no cotidiano. Hoje, 'heal from' é mais comum em inglês.
