Definition

何かが完全に乾いて水分がなくなること。また、アルコール依存から飲酒をやめる意味でも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に濡れていたもの（服、地面、食べ物）の場合に使う。口語的にアルコールをやめる意味も。'dry off' や単なる 'dry' とは異なる。
