‘coombe’ ব্রিটিশ ইংরেজিতে এবং বিশেষ করে স্থাননামে (‘Ilfracombe‘) ব্যবহৃত হয়; সাধারণত সাহিত্যিক বা ভৌগোলিক প্রসঙ্গে পাওয়া যায়, সাধারণ ‘valley’ থেকে আলাদা।
