কিছু ভুল করলে বা নিয়ম ভঙ্গ করলে কারো কাছ থেকে তীব্র বকা বা তিরস্কার পাওয়া।

অফিসিয়াল বা আনুষ্ঠানিক ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার এড়ান; খুব গুরুতর বা জোরালো বকা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। "from" ব্যবহার করে কার কাছ থেকে বকা খাওয়া হয়েছে সে বিষয়টি প্রকাশ করা যায়।
