指突然大量的人對某事物產生需求，常用於指銀行大量提款或熱門商品被搶購的情況。

多用於新聞和正式場合，如「銀行擠兌」、「商品搶購」。不適用於緩慢增長的趨勢。不要與英文的「run-on sentence」（冗長句）混淆。

There was a run on eggs before the storm.
