누군가를 인정하거나 최소한의 관심을 보이는 것. 주로 상대를 아예 무시한다는 의미로 쓰임.

비공식적으로 쓰이고 주로 부정문에서 사용됨. 예: 'wouldn’t give me the time of day'는 철저히 무시한다는 뜻.

She won't give the time of day to people she doesn't like.
